This stand-alone novel had the action, the tension, regrets, resolve and passion - it had it all. The end of the world has come for all of them, even the preppers are caught off-guard. I really enjoyed reading about Ava and Knox fighting it out to survive the worst that mother nature ravaged on them. It all played out like a film in my head, Lindsey has a great knack for describing these scenes and her fully fledged characters, their stories, their sorrows, their hope.

This book…just WOW! I don’t know where to begin with this one because it is just so impactful. It begs the question of what would you do if facing the end of the world as you knew it and that is just what is happening to Knox and Ava. These two are put through the wringer as they navigate the Earth destroying everything that they know. This storyline is so well written that it brings up so many emotions and has one thinking about being prepared just in case. If you love a post-apocalyptic storyline then do not wait to grab this one for your shelf. It is a must read!

This is a great novel from an author who is a master at writing vulnerable and flawed characters. Ava and Knox make the best of the moment when the earth snaps back at humankind. This book is heartbreaking and affirming.
